About me:

Hello,i'm Samantha you can call me Sam or Sammy whichever you fancy. I am 16 years old 17 in November. I am a senior in high school currently attending the AARC at Clair Burgener Academy. I reside in Oceanside California.

I have taken photos since i could walk. I got into photography in late 2004/early 2005.I started off taking pictures of my brothers band, band practices, and shows. I moved on and started taking photos of my friends. And in 2005 i started shooting models.

I first started off with the small point and shoot Kodak camera that my mother had. I got my first real camera in 2005 which was the Fine Pix s9000.2008 i shot with my Canon AE-1,which was used for all my film photos.2009 i upgraded to the Canon Rebel XSI.

Equipment, I don't have much. I have my camera and my 2 lenses my 18-55mm and 75-300mm lenses.I have my tripod and a reflector.I also do not drive yet, at least not legally yet... Therefore i get around by bus, train, and of course by foot. So my locations are limited. (Also i do NOT have photoshop. I edit my images with flickr.)

Photography,Photography is amazing in every aspect. I'm a huge film photography fan. I actually have only taken film photography classes.I love capturing peoples personalities on film. I love creating beautiful, and meaningful images that people can look back on. Even if there themed/concept photos. We all can look back when we get older and laugh at some of the things you/we wore. The memories that were made within that shoot (or not).

Who I'd like to meet:

"[Life wanted] faces that would express what we wanted to tell. Not just the unusual or striking face, but the face that would speak out the message from the printed page. I am always looking for some typical person or face that will tie the picture essay together in a human way." - Margaret Bourke-White
