SARO COSENTINO started collaborating with various Italian artists involved in the Italian Blues scene. In '79 his first collaboration with Franco Battiato took place. With him, among other pieces, he wrote I Treni di Tozeur. After which he wrote for both Giusto Pio and Alice. In 1985 he formed, with harpist Vincenzo Zitello, the duo A'sciara. The duo was to combine traditional Celtic music with electronic music. A'sciara toured extensively and their participation in the "Festival of Riva del Garda" won them the first place "Vela d'argento" for the best single of the year. In 1987 Saro wrote the music for the theatre production Macchina dell'Amore e della Morte, written and directed by Tadeusz Kantor and presented at the "Festival Documenta" in Kassel and other major European cities. Also in '87 he collaborated in the staging and realization of the opera "Genesi" in Parma at the Teatro Regio. In 1988 his first solo album, entitled Saro Cosentino, was realeased on the Ottava/EMI record label. In the summer of the same year he participated to Battiato's "Fisiognomica" tour. Since 1990 Saro has alternated producing and engineering with writing. In 1992 he produced Battiato's album, Caffé de la Paix, voted Best Album of the Year by the Italian Music Press. During the same year Saro took part in the recording and realization of Peter Gabriel's Secret World Live. In 1998, his second "solo" album “Ones and Zeros”, was released in Europe and North America. He produced the new album of the band "Radiodervish" In Search of Simurgh.

ANGELO ORLANDO is Scriptwriter, director and actor.
He had his real breakthrough in 1990 when Fellini gave him the role of Nestore in his last movie La voce della Luna, and the following year, in Massimo Troisi’s film I Thought It Was Love, for which he won the David di Donatello award as best supporting actor.
He went on writing comedy sketches and a variety of TV show episodes and wrote plays for the theatre.
In 1994 made his first film as director, L'anno prossimo vado a letto alle dieci (Seattle Film Festival, Festival Cinema Jove de Valencia, N.I.C.E. Film Festival) In 1998 he wrote his second feature film, Barbara, rewritten for the theatre a few years later. In the same year he wrote Tobia al Caffè, a film by Gianfranco Mingozzi. In 1999 he wrote the screenplay Outlaw, a film by Enzo Monteleone, nominated by the Italian National Sindacate of film Journalists amongst the best Italian scripts in 2000. His debut in literature in 2001, was with Quasi quattordici (Nearly fourteen), almost an autobiographic story, a diary of a child in a southern country of Italy. In November 2005 he won the Solinas Prize with Casamatta Vendesi, best comedy screenplay.
Sfiorarsi was written together with Valentina Carnelutti. In 2007 he wrote Sandrine in the Rain (filming), a film by Tonino Zangardi.

VALENTINA CARNELUTTI has studied acting at Teatro Azione for two years, until 1992. From 1994 to now she has participated to Acting classes and workshops with Susan Batson, Geraldine Baron and Marilyn Fried studying between Rome and New York.
She has been taking classes in Lydia Biondi’s Mimo Teatro Movimento mime school and followed mime seminars with Marcel Marceau, ritual theater workshops with Richard Schechner and contemporary dance with Andy Peck.
In 1997 – 1998 she has studied at the Centro Nacional para las Artes (Mexico City) studying theater direction and acting with, amongst others, polish director Ludwik Margules.
Form 1990 she studies ballet and contemporary dance at Mimma Testa ballet school and now at Arte e Balletto directed by Milena Zullo and Mauro Carboni.
In 1989 she began working as an actress in theater. Amongst the plays interpreted: ‘La Confessione’ W. Manfré, ‘La Signorina Julie’ G. Leonetti, ‘Mal de Viver’ and ‘La Maladie de la Mort’ F. Carnelutti, ‘The Story of a Soldier’ Peter Sellars, ‘Spoon River’ F. Bonelli, ‘Casamatta Vendesi’ A. Orlando.
Her debut in film is in 1994 with ‘Marta Singapore’ a short film by Barbara Melega after which she has worked with, amongst others, , Gianni Zanasi ‘Nella Mischia’, Cecilia Calvi ‘Mi sei entrata nel cuore come un colpo di coltello’, Lucio Pellegrini ‘E allora Mambo!’, Ridley Scott ‘Hannibal’, Giovanni Maderna ‘L’amore Imperfetto’, Marco Tullio Giordana ‘La meglio gioventù’, Vittorio Moroni ‘Tu devi essere il lupo’. Recently she has interpreted one episode of Giovanni Veronesi’s Manuale d’amore II and she is the leading actress in Jimmy della Collina by Enrico Pau and The Fakir, indian production by Anand Surapur.
She is an actress for radio RAI since 1998, amongst the last works Se questo è un uomo, 102 minuti a Ground Zero, Il terzo Anello, I mandarini.
She is the author, together with Angelo Orlando, of the screenplay Sfiorarsi produced by Alessandro Verdecchi for Veradia film wih a contribution from MiBAC.
She speaks and writes English French Spanish and Portuguese.

È lo stralcio di una poesia di Wislawa Szymborska, citata spesso dal regista polacco Krzysztof Kieslowski.
“Sfiorarsi” racconta un altro amore.
Lo sguardo stavolta è quello dell’esterno: è lo sguardo di una spiaggia, di un corridoio, di una strada alberata, di un supermercato, di un cartellone pubblicitario. I posti dove un uomo e una donna si sono sfiorati nell’arco di una vita.
Il film è stato girato nell'estate del 2005 tra Roma e Parigi.
Dopo tre anni di attesa e dopo due anni di partecipazioni in diversi festival in Europa e in Asia, SFIORARSI uscirà anche in Italia, grazie ad uno sforzo distributivo totalmente indipendente, in collaborazione con la scuola di cinema SENTIERI SELVAGGI, ATALANTE FILM e di tutti coloro che fino ad ora hanno aiutato, sostenuto attivamente il film. Who I'd like to meet:
“Sfiorarsi” è la storia di un incontro, quello tra Paolo e Céline. È la storia del loro amore, rinviato nel corso del tempo, ritardato dallo scorrere delle loro vite su binari paralleli che, attraverso i giorni, li portano a sfiorarsi numerose volte.
Due vite accompagnate da un destino che si diverte a non farli incontrare.
In una Roma mondana, quotidiana e reale, Paolo e Cèline si sfiorano di continuo. Ognuno dei due è però troppo preso dai propri drammi, affetti, piccoli e grandi impegni per accorgersi dell’altro.
Céline è un’attrice, ha ventotto anni, un matrimonio alle spalle e una bambina di dieci anni. Paolo è un fotografo sulla quarantina, il cui animo da ragazzino non lo ha ancora portato a considerare l’idea di amare una sola donna.
Le occasioni per incontrarsi sono tante, ma forse non bastano a chi non riesce a fermare il proprio sguardo, anche solo per un istante, su quella che forse potrebbe essere la persona giusta, incarnazione del più intimo sogno.
Paolo e Céline sono questo sogno l’uno per l’altra. Non lo sanno ancora ma lo intuiscono forse quando finalmente si trovano. Lo capiscono poi quando mischiando appena le loro vite si rendono conto che potrebbero intrecciare le loro radici.
In una grande città dove le relazioni si consumano, gli amori si sprecano il loro è un incontro giusto, un amore che esplode.
L’inizio è classico: tutto s’incastra perfettamente nelle loro vite che poco a poco diventano speciali.
Ma il tempo trascorso da ciascuno prima che scegliesse l’altro lascia tracce indelebili che soltanto una crisi e una trasformazione dello sguardo sul proprio sentimento, riescono a smussare, consentendo ad un’altra forma di amore, di evolvere.

Céline est une jeune femme de trente ans, actrice et mère d’une fille de dix ans. Son amant vient de la quitter. Paolo a 40 ans, il est photographe et il vit en célibataire, incapable de construire une relation sérieuse, il ne peut pas se résoudre à aimer une seule femme. Il a à peine été quitté par une fille de 18 ans. Paolo et Céline se sont frôlés souvent, ils se sont croisé de nombreuses fois, grâce notamment à quelques amis communs. Mais ils ne se sont jamais vraiment parlé, ni connus. Dans cette période difficile de leurs vies qui suivent des séparations non voulues, ils se retrouvent à l’entrée d’un immeuble où se déroule une fête à laquelle ils ne voulaient pas vraiment aller. Pou la première fois, ils se parlent, ils vont boire un verre et se découvrent de nombreux points communs. Paolo propose de faire une séance de photos avec Céline, qui accepte. Leurs rencontres vont devenir de plus en plus fréquentes et se transformer en une relation intense. Peut-être ont-ils enfin trouvé ce qui leur manquait… Mais bientôt, l’intensité de la relation semble diminuer…
Paolo paraît plus distant, plus indécis…

Dans « Frôlés », je voulais tenir compte de cette indication. Donner la possibilité à l’extérieur et au temps d’être considérés ensemble comme le vrai mouvement intérieur. La rencontre entre deux personnes destinées à s’aimer naît surtout dans la conscience de chacune d’elles. Le temps n’est qu’une composante, presque une illusion. Paolo et Céline sont un exemple significatif de la façon dont il est possible d’aimer tout en s’appartenant à soi-même… de sortir des limites d’une horloge qu’il semble régler nos vies, et de réfléchir librement aux automatismes qui finissent par rapprocher amour et prison.
