S.F. Poetic: Director. Producer. Editor.
S.F. Poetic describes herself as an "artist to the core". She was born and raised in Detroit, MI: an epicenter of music, art, and style. From a very early age, she knew that she wanted to be a filmmaker; she made her first film at 8 years old using Barbie dolls and the family camcorder.
Now in her mid-20s, she has directed, produced, shot, and edited several independent music videos, one of which won Best Alternative Music Video at the 2007 Indie Gathering Film Festival. She holds a dual degree from the University of Michigan in Film and English. She completed the Summer Film Program at the University of Southern California, where she studied under the Executive Creative Director of the Music Video Production Association. She also completed an internship at RingSide Creative, a Detroit-area post-production house. All of these experiences, coupled with her innate artistic inclination, have greatly influenced her creative methods. Her alias, "S.F. Poetic", denotes her aim to make music videos that are like "visual poetry".

Making music videos first and foremost. Then at a somewhat distant second is poetry. Then somewhere in the abyss under music videos and poetry are other forms of film/television production, modeling, acting, and singing.
