Sounds Like
it's time for a full blown chocolate sundae boogie woogie.
Straight Answer Machine was recorded in a couple of mighty pleasant weeks at Surgery Studios in the southern suburbs of Wellington City. Production under the managerial eye of Samuel himself and the renowned Lee Prebble.
Featuring the musical calamity of thee Bunnies On Ponies to accompany the songs of one Samuel F. Scott, this is music steeped in the teachings of the old guard.
Samuel has been known to sing and dance as frontish man for The Phoenix Foundation. He also has irregular intervals as a composer for moving pictures of the silver screen, such as Eagle Vs Shark.
If one was to liken this album to any other, a good place to start would be The Hunt Brings Us Life. Peformed by a similar, though not exact, lineup of merry men. Both The Hunt and Straight Answer Machine are available through the phonographic publication services of Loop Recordings.
And so it is then dear friends, that we entreat thee to close the shutters on negative light and open your eyes to the positive electro-magnetic waves of the darkest hour of the soul.... or do we?

Hi Samuel, it was great talking to you and Luke after your Q&A at the Library last thursday. I would appreciate any comments or feedback on my tunes. Cheers,
Hey guys, We're mishing up from Invercargill to play at Hole In The Wall tomorrow night (Friday 29th of May) with our good friends Fire & Intergracia. So for some of the heaviest grooves in the country come check out some southern chug! Hope to see you there! Cheers Osmium
Barnaby Weir and his dad are on Kim Hill's Playing Favourites this morn and they are closing their segment with Black Mark. KH and BW just sang your singing songwriting praises. Hope your ears were burning.
Leighward, Ho! Friends got along to the AKL show last night and had a fabby time.
Thanks for being my digital friend. Craig, that penis hat in the band photo is beautiful. Nice sounds guys, I hadn't heard yous fullas before stumbling over you in myspace. Cool video too.
I don't normally do spammy comments but I'm trying to spread the word about the Creative Freedom Foundation so posting banners and messages on myspace seemed a good idea.. I don't know if you would have already heard about it or not but the Guilt Upon Accusation laws affect musicians as much as artists (musicians who make their own artwork doubly so!) and the Creative Freedom Foundation are trying to change things. If you wanted to give the website/petition a read, it's at http://creativefreedom.org.nz And it's run by regular artists who have decided to take a stand.
