   About SFS
SFS
A demon singing, a punch to the face, a train wreck waiting to happen. SFS's music is a mix of punk, metal, and rock that has a sound so much of it's own, that it is hard to classify with a genre. You just got to listen and judge for yourself.

SFS was born in the fall of 2003 and would go through many forms and changes before ending at where they are now. We have a wide range of musical taste as well as experience. The current member consist of Ryan Hatfield, Scott Romero and Justin Bowdoin and has been together since December of 2005. We have taken every opportunity to craft and exercise our skills. We have performed at many house parties with as many as forty people in attendance, and have recently began branching out to local live music venues. SFS is slowly but steadily building a strong fan base in middle GA and many other surrounding areas.

Many people have asked us what SFS wants or plans to do different in order to leave our mark on rock. These days every gimmick and parlor trick have been done and that's fine, but SFS feels that legible rock and more simple but non-compromising song structure and sound is where we would like to remain. Ongoing fads and current trends are something that will run its course and once again good rock n roll music will be on top .SFS has had one goal from day one and that was to make music that not only us and our friends would love but music for people that wonder when did rock n roll become so safe? SFS recorded and locally released their debut album "Hand Full of 40s and Talks About Jesus" on July 4, 2006 and are ready to begin booking shows again. SFS has and will continue to try and make people remember why they love rock n' roll music so much.

[walkout to getout]: national walkout only one week away!

Demand Books Not Bombs this November 7th!

november 7, 2006: National youth walk out. Mobilize to show the opposition of young people to a war that is killing our peers. Be creative, help people get to the polls and speak out!

On November 7th, the day of the mid-term elections, young people across this country will Walk Out to Get Out of Iraq! Our month of education, organizing, and mobilizing will culminate on what will be a powerful display of the youth and student movement for peace and justice! We are calling for young people to walk out of their schools, their campuses, and their jobs, not only to go out and vote and to help others vote, but also to show the people in power that the youth and students of this country will not stand aside while they prioritize war and profit over our needs!

In 2003, over 450 schools participated in a walkout before the war even started! In the fourth year of this illegal war, let's double that number!

  • Be sure to go to www.nyspc.org and let us know if you are going to participate so we can publicize and get a sense of how many people are joining this historic day of resistance! Register your event!!

  • Put up flyers, use sidewalk chalk to get the word out all over your campus, community, work place, etc. You can use our stencil!

  • Write an op-ed or letter to the editor to your local and campus newspapers

  • Post it on your Myspace account, your blog, send emails to friends and all those who have signed the Books Not Bombs pledge, etc

Be sure to get as many people as you can to participate with you. This is a day for solidarity and collective action, each one of us is affected by the spending on this war. Ask your family, friends, co-workers, and classmates to join in on this day of resistance! Ttouch base on what plans are in the works, how many folks you have signed up, permits for rallies, rides to the polls, t-shirts, publicity, etc. You could also do some research on candidate's stance on the war and create some flyers to let folks know. Remember, not everyone (or anyone) has to walk out; there are other options for everyone who wants to get involved.

Cool cool cool. All I've been getting in the mail is army / college recruitment crap. Can't wait. If the band I'm in ever gets to practicing, maybe we could make a cd or someting. Then I can send you something cool. Keep it real.
