SWORDFISHTROMBONES
are Karel Krticka - guitar, Miloš Rejsek - vocal, Alois Ponížil - horns & keys, Martin Zaplatílek - bass, and Dan Petr - drums.
They formed the band in Brno (Czech Republic) some time ago, and their stubborn attempts to take on traditional ways of songwritting and recording have earned then sort of a maverick, and local heroes reputation. Their early recordings are self-produced, raw and documentary, reflecting their live bluesy, psychedelic and garage-rock sound, while the recent ones tend to shift towards rather polished and elaborated studio takes and mixes with more indie-rock, shoe-gazing approach. The mixture of their past and present adventures somehow defines the unique universe of their wonderful music, climaxing in the making of their 4th regular album due to come in 2009. Live performances of SFT oscillate between rather chaotic, nervous raw stuff and slow, more melancholic songs.

Hey guys, I hope to be in the CR next year. I have been busy working on my documentary on the sport of lawn mower racing. Here is the trailer for the film:
You can go to mowermovie.com to become a fan on Facebook. I am really interested in knowing if it is worth pursuing the European film festivals with this project. Thanks!
Your music makes me want to set the world on fire and bathe in the ashes of all the dead while drinking the blood of a thousand sacrificed virgins. ;] hails!
