From rockers to dancehall, passing trough jamaican funk and dancehall, we take as our influence the artists that tried to make a diference, such as DENNIS BROWN, BOB MARLEY, PETER TOSH, U-ROY, KING TUBBY, JUNIOR REID, PRINCE BUSTER, SUPERCAT, TENOR SAW, BARRINGTON LEVY, SIZZLA KALONJI, JAH MASON, VYBZ KARTEL, BEENIE MAN, NINJAMAN, NATURAL BLACK, JAHVINCI, DEMARCO, BUSY SIGNAL and the soundsystems that play good reggae music and are creative in what dey do, like ASHER SELECTOR, RODIGAN, SENTINEL, MIGHTY CROWN, POW POW, SOUNDQUAKE, JULA JAH, and so on..

Shack-A-Lack Sound nasceu em Haze-Town, no ano de 2008 pela vontade de cinco amigos que acompanhavam a cultura rastafari e toda a música jamaicana, desde o ska até ao dancehall.
Surgiu então um soundsystem baseado nas raízes jamaicanas do reggae até ao new-roots e dancehall dos dias de hoje, com dois selectas- Selecta G & Selecta Davids, dois toasters e singjays- IHenry & Anthony e um manager/promoter - Bredda Neeza.
Ao longo de 2008 foram lançadas algumas tunes originais: "Fight Babylon" (Sun Goes Down Riddim, Yezir Prod.), "Watch Dem" (Long Beach Riddim, Yezir Prod.), "Praise Dem Sound" (versão acústica), tal como as mais recentes, gravadas e mixadas em estúdio: "White Man" (Drop It Riddim, NoDoubt Rec.) e "A Gyal Like You" (New Chapter Riddim, Big Ship Prod.), fazendo com que os concertos possuiam um cariz musical único que os torna diferentes e sempre com o melhor roots foundation e todos os hits jamaicanos mais recentes, tal como uma dub case onde podem ser ouvidos artistas nacionais e internacionais como Abijah, Teacha Dee, Hyah Slyce, Roots Revealers, Junior Thomas, etc.
Este sound já tocou com artistas, bandas e soundsystems portugueses como Innajahm, Tripline, Junkies Running Dry, New World Jamaica, Royal Gully Sound, Nubai, One-Ity, No Joke, Firestarter, One Sun, Richie Campbell, Marrokan, Massive Deeztant, entre outros.. estando presentes em eventos e festas em bares, discotecas, festas universitárias, parques de campismo para todo o massivo que nos quiser ouvir como no Hula Hula Bar (Costa da Caparica), Clubissímo (Setúbal), Moinho Bar (JAMoita), Alive Bar (Lisboa), Kingston Bar (Costa da Caparica), Bubbas (Nazaré) e outros.
Com a forte vontade de progredir no reggae nacional e dar o máximo de concertos possíveis Shack-A-Lack Sound está prestes a lançar as primeiras mixtapes de reggae e dancehall deste ano, tal como várias originais e dubplates.

Shack-A-Lack Sound is a reggae, ska, dub, dancehall and soca soundsystem created in 2008, by the will of five friends and current members, that all shared the same opinions and love for jamaican music and culture.
From that day was created a soundsystem based on the roots of jamaican music, but with great influences on the newest reggae and dancehall. This sound is formed by: Selecta G, Selecta Davids, two toasters- IHenry & Anthony and Bredda Neeza (manager).
We have played with artists, soundsystems and bands like: Innajahm, Tripline, Junkies Running Dry, New World Jamaica, Royal Gully Sound, Nubai, One-Ity, No Joke, Firestarter, One Sun, Richie Campbell, Marrokan.. in some bars and discos like Alive Bar, Kingston Bar, Hula Hula Bar, etc..
