I am The Retinal Circus I write a lotta songs I've got around 40 stockpiled and 14 odd of these ready to play live already. I don't play by genres or styles as I think it's kinder old hat so I write whatever I want and either play nice sets or damnright eccentric trippy ones. <> SHAMBOLLIX I’m also in a sort of charity shop keyboard red coat party band called The Shambollix and we have been known to play 27 songs in a mere 20 minutes in a medlee so you have to see that to believe it really.. Have a look, I can't describe how stupid, darn right embarassing and rediculous this band are.. Yet we still go on. I’ve been a minstrel in a site specific play with John-Joe Murray and that fiddler girl from Chrome Hoof, played in a forest built in said play. Sang and screamed in protest to a bunch of arms dealers on a train platform at the DSEI arms protest in 2007, confused audiences everywhere with an infamous song about sex with clocks. Assaulted one audience with a stuffed womble, another with sweets + silly string guns, and another with glitter bombs. =========================== ============================ ============================ Hell I’ve even head butted Jimi Saville In the stomach though it was so long ago his not likely to remember it. It was the thought that counts surely. But has EVEN that got me any more hits? Any shred of success? I am currently in two odd but ace bands : The Shambollix & The Oohz.. As The Retinal Circus: just me, guitars , some pedals , an ebow, strange treated instruments and sounds, some songwriting involved at times, other times just lots of noise and an 8 track but sometimes with ; Hywel Payne, The Worrisome Ankle Trout, Phil Butler, Becky Rose sim adcock, R.carlo, dickie billet, andrea, ryhad lorentus, members of meteor st, Jezworth the 1st, both toxic pijins, Johnny Kowalski, a guy called Clit and andy Bright.. Anyone is welcome to join in just message me and we'll sort a collaboration out.. I have also been in lots of bands ; meteor street, Biscuit Hero, mouseburger and Zigguat.. Played with ; George Clarke, Rachel By The Stream, Indigo Doctor. And been a minstrel for the wonderclub theatre co..phew
