**CURRENT READ** Holy Ghost Corner Theresa Elaine Hopson, 46, owner of Miss Thang's Holy Ghost Corner and Church Women's Boutique is puzzled. She can't, for the life of her, figure out why even Baby Doll Henderson, despite her false teeth and her navy-blue-socks-with-yellow-jelly-sandals-wearing self, can find a man and she, Theresa, can't. Theresa's been looking all of her life, and it seems like the only thing she finds are things that need to say lost. Like, for example, her on and off "friend" and sometime escort, the sneaky businessman, Reverend Parvell Sikes. So, when church mother Queen-Esther Green reacquaints Theresa with the older woman's backslidden player nephew, Lamont Green, it seems like the same old story. But this time, Theresa decides to listen to God and what she hears soon brings a smile to her face with the realization that the Holy Ghost has been in her love corner all along.

About me:

Our reading group was started May 2006 in the Phoenix Metro area with focus on bringing together enthusiastic readers to inspire discussion that evokes creative thoughts and imagination. Our primary focus are readers in the western portion of the valley but not excluded to that area. We also focus primarily on literature by African-American authors. Our goal is to eventually have chapters all over the valley, limited to 10 members per chapter. We invite men and women, old and young, new and seasoned readers to join us at any time. If you are interested in being a part of our reading group, please feel free to send us an email.

Just sending a special thank you again for everyone that has helped keep my books, "Stories I Wouldn't Tell Nobody But God" and "Cold Summer Afternoon" on the best-sellers list for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. First up, "Stories I Wouldn't Tell Nobody But God..."

Feel free to check out my profile, here on Myspace or my official website at www.RasheedClark.com, read the blogs, or just listen to the music that relates to what I am writing about.

"Stories I Wouldn't Tell Nobody But God" and it's explosive follow up, "Cold Summer Afternoon," which questions what kind of secrets would drive a woman to commit murder, are both available now at Amazon.com, BN.com (Barnes and Nobles) and where ever quality books are sold. If they don't have it, request that they put it on their shelves.

Buy a copy for you and someone you know that loves a good book. You'll be glad you did. You will want somebody to talk to about these two and will not want to wait until they read yours. Thanks!

Latest Amazon.com review of Temptation.com: “He dares you to log on at your own risk, and it's true.... but a compelling story nonetheless.... Anyone thinking that you can't become addicted to internet porn/ hookups will be in for a wild ride... But, the sad truth in the end is real..... Very good book...

Thanks for the add! Be sure to pick up a copy of Where Souls Collide, winner of the Science Fiction category of the 2008 African American Literary Awards Show.

If you like the supernatural feel of Eve's Bayou or the fantasy of Preacher's Wife or love to read speculative fiction (think Octavia Butler, Brandon Massey) I write in the same genre...with a touch of relationship drama, too.  Flex your imagination! Watch the trailer, read an excerpt and check out the great reviews on my web site.

    Good Day,

I have posted the prologue of my new novel : “Nuttin’ But Death Can Depart Us.”

Meet Genavie, Traci, and Ma’Shawn, the members of Da Sista Hood. Their friendship is bonded by undying love, support, togetherness, and respect. This hood driven drama is set in the heart of Watts, California. Nuttin’ but death could ever depart them until Genavie meets C-Note a wealthy drug dealer from Compton, California. Then all hell breaks loss. La’Vie debut novel is a ghetto tale intertwined with love, addiction, murder, jealously, and betrayal. After a year filled with, squabbles, mistrust, tears, and laughter these teenage girls will examine the true meaning of sisterhood.
