Originally born and raised in the projects of Brooklyn, New York, at the age of 7 ½, Aiyea Da Shadow (A.D.S.), had already formed the New York state of mind and fast-paced thinking. Traveling between Brooklyn and Harlem, he was raised in broken home by a single mother. Times were hard and he soon found himself in Florida where the struggle was even harder, money was short, and family scarce. Hip hop was always a part of his life. Break dancing, listening to rap music and making beats on top of washers and dryers, A.D.S. was always finding ways to stay positive in trying times. At the age or 9 ½ he and his mother moved to California where, within two years, he ran into his first real bit of trouble. He knew then that something had to change. At the age of 11 ½ he had built a reputation at schools and house parties for being a dancer. Also, soon after being captivated by the work of many artists like Eric B. and Rakim, N.W.A., Beastie Boys, Kool Moe Dee, L.L. Cool J, Kid and Play, Def Jef, and so many more, he wrote his first flow. Since then, Aiyea Da Shadow has become a talent in the music industry and has been recorded and featured on many underground and well known projects.
