There are many obvious influences with the Shadow And Dust sound but Alan's recording style sets him apart from all the others in this ambient folk niche. He's also as prolific as they come. Keep your Shadow And Dust myspace bookmarked because you'll find a new song just about once a week. He is incapable of writing a bad song.
