Heavy metal has found a new groove in SHADOW ASPECT

Since the demise of Pantera in 2002, metal has been crying out for a new breed of groove-heavy music, and in these UK bruisers it just might have found its salvation

After honing their craft to a vice-like tightness on the south England circuit, the Kent five-piece are emerging from the shadows with their blistering new three-track EP ‘STAND TO THE FRONT’

Shadow Aspect are unapologetic, straight up heavy metal from the Pantera old school. taking riff lord Dimebag Darrell, sludge supergroup down and hook-masters Killswitch Engage as the blueprint for their own brand of metal mayhem, huge riffs tumble around lock-tight rhythmic foundations and giant choruses.

The band’s potential has already been harnessed by international magazines, with features appearing in Europe’s bestselling guitar monthly ‘Total Guitar’ and drum-bible ‘Rhythm’

Total Guitar was so impressed it championed the band and vowed to get them signed to a label, with Music Editor James Uings personally producing ‘Stand To The Front,’ artwork designed by John Blackshaw and photos by Joby Sessions
