About me:
Louis Poessel was born in El Campo, Texas on April 9, 1949. He attended school in the Tidehaven Independent School District and graduated from Tidehaven High School in 1967. After high school he attended and later graduated from Wharton County Junior College with an Associate in Arts Degree. His education was continued at Sam Houston State University where he earned a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Agriculture Education.
He married his high school sweetheart Debbie McGinnes in June of 1970 and they have two grown sons. Louis spent over twenty years in the agricultural seed industry before taking advantage of an early retirement incentive. In the course of his employment he served former employers as sales manager and motivational speaker while traveling extensively. Following his early retirement he once again grew restless and accepted the position of General Manager of a large national turf equipment sales organization. His business skill and wit increased sales by nearly one million dollars the first year and opened the door for new business opportunities. He survived a tragic accident while employed with the turf equipment company and his injury now limits travel and public appearances. In addition to his career work, he managed and worked on his family farm.
Since his accident several years ago, Louis now spends his time writing and working in his yard. He lives with his wife and three Persian cats in the seaside community of Palacios, Texas. His wife Debbie is a Kindergarten teacher for the Palacios Independent School District. Coastal activities sometimes suggest potential stories and Louis and Debbie can often be seen along the water's edge. At this time Louis has two published books with another awaiting the editing process. Both published books deal with the paranormal and while fiction, a sprinkling of his rural upbringing can be found in the stories.
ShadowPeopleBooks are the product of his vivid imagination. Readers will soon find themselves in fast paced action where anything is possible and indeed probable. His characters seem to come to life on the pages of his writing as they grasp the reader while pulling him into the story. Critics have commented, "his science fiction offers a new twist to traditional sci/fi as he often uses his experience and imagination in his work." The subject matter of his writings can be controversial and is said to defies the norm. Fans of his paranormal tales suggest that perhaps the answers to questions unknown may be found on the pages of ShadowPeopleBooks.
