In the year 2001 Matteo Carnisio (drums) and Alessio Parini (guitar) were in a recording studio, where they were playing general music, when they decided to complete their group formation.
In July 2004, Marco Lupato (guitar) and Marco Ribeca (bass guitar) joined them, and they began to widen their repertoire. As much as they tried, a suitable lead singer was not found which then lead to the departure of Marco Lupato from the not yet fully formed band.
Marco Lupato’s position was eventually taken by the present guitarist Mirko Falasco and finally, in December 2004 the place for lead singer was fulfilled by Andrea Rocha.
The completion of the formation, hard work and most important of all, undying passion allowed them to widen their repertoire and enter the Italian music scene in 2005 under the name of “So What!?!”; this continued until 2006 when they decided to develop and introduce their own music, under their new name “SHADOWS & DUST”, which also is the title of their first single.
Satisfaction and success were harvested the following years, but 2008 was seen to be the most difficult period for the up and coming band, as this was due to the unforeseen abandon of Alessio Parini and Matteo Carnisio, who respectively decided to follow other paths.
Strong will, determination and love for heavy metal kept the remaining components of the band united, and the welcomed return of Marco Lupato together with the new entry of Luca Bizzantino (drums).
Just like the PHOENIX, defeated and reduced to ashes, SHADOWS & DUST was re-born stronger than before to spread their music around the globe……To Ashes We Will Burn, From Them We Will Return……Are You Ready To ROCK?!?
Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.

Ciao ti comunichiamo i prossimi eventi che faremo nel mese di Luglio per poi andare in ferie e ripartire con la stagione invernale! Sabato prossimo 18 Luglio i The Sentinel la tribute band dei Judas Priest suonerà per noi all'ippodromo delle cascine di Firenze (via del Pegaso 1)
Ed il sabato dopo (sabato 25 Luglio), sempre all'Ippodromo Le Mulina delle Cascine é il momento del ritorno dei grandissimi Story of Jade che presenteranno nuovi pezzi e nuovo repertorio e con una scenografia horror come sempre suggestiva ed affascinante.
Ciao ritornati dal Gods of Metal dove abbiamo lasciato ben 4000 copie della nuova compilation "Invasione Totale Vol.3" andiamo avanti con la nostra stagione estiva. Il prossimo sabato 4 luglio 2009 nell'incantevole zona della cascine di Firenze, precisamente all'Ippodromo Le Mulina, suoneranno i rinnovati Dragonia, che da ormai un po' di tempo si sono presentati con una nuova veste e nuova strumentazione (mic ad archetto, chitarra 8 corde e keytar solo per dirne alcune) interpretando uno show molto avvincente.
Inoltre ti vogliamo segnalare anche un altro grande evento del nostro caro amico Trevor dei Sadist: Metal Valley che si terrà sabato 11 luglio all'Area Expo di Genova con un bill notevole: Entombed, Rotting Christ, Necrodeath, Dark Lunacy, Coram Lethe, Ritual Rebirth, Bad Bones, Kadavar. Vietato Mancare!!!
