   About Shadows on a River
"Meshing experimental psychedelica (complete with bells, keys, tamborines, etc) with low-key choruses and warm vocals, Shadows on a River stir the body’s insides to ease. Comfort, gratification, pleasure – such adjectives come to mind. While I’m not really one to blow steam all that often, I expect this Chicago based band to make it to the top of the indie world in no time with more efforts like their self-titled gem. You’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t listen."
-knoxroad.com

"This is the best unsigned band I’ve heard so far this year[...]The kind of album you want to put on to get lost in. One that opens up and evolves with each and every listen."
-theocmd.com

"I literally saved up to buy his latest album. I haven’t saved up to buy an album since I was 14."

Steal away.

I'll try to remember to bring a b-sides CD, but I'm gonna be honest here- I'll prolly forget. Times are tough! I'm going to try, though. Actually forget it, I'm just going to link you to the top-secret free download of the b-sides album.

i hope so. i'm getting past that point where everything's crazy and you can't do anything but work and sleep and occasionally run away to a bar for a few hours.

i'll say i'll definitely make a visit within the month, meaning before mid-october.

what should happen now is that you take this operation (and girlfriends and friends) on the road and come play in boston.

hey man(s),

did you know that when you sing the line "i don't take a gun," it sounds a lot like the first part of the melody for morrisey's song "first of the gang to die."

see you soon.

i was a very big infinity room fan.

i would have to say the biggest regret of my life was not going to the pedro the lion show and seeing the infinity mansion.

so hypothetically lets say i am in an indie band. not a well known band, but one with heart.

what would the odds be of playing a show with you in chicago?

also,

how can i get a cd?

-westley wieland

p.s.

the solo version of last word is one of my favorite songs of all time.
