I am a 46 year old retired Senior System Engineer. I am a semi-retired Web Developer. I still develop some of my own and other web sites occasionally. I am now a Photographer. I have this really bad habit of getting seriously interested in something and then I set some ridiculous goal for myself to achieve involving this interest. Then after I have achieved these goals and gone as far as I can in this area, I get seriously bored and must move on.
I use to show, breed, and raise Jack Russell Terriers. I sat on the board at the Jack Russell Terrier Research Foundation. I studied canine genetics, pedigrees, and behavior. I bred my first litter puppies, two puppies were produced, and both went on to win many classes at JRTCA trials. I own parrots, I have had parrots in the majority of my life. I use to raise and breed Blue and Gold Macaws. I did so well at this that they ran me out of house and home. With parrots, this is no easy task, but damn if I didn't manage it. I still have 3 parrots and 3 dogs.
Most I guess would say I am over achiever. I don't know if I would agree, but what I would say is one thing, I am not, nor have ever been board. I always have plenty to do. I spend an enormous amount of time studying whatever I am currently involved in. I sleep, eat, and will breath my current interest. Needless to say this leaves me little time for friends. I however have a very supportive and loving husband. Thankfully he is also very understandable of my need to stay mentally and goal active. He is actively still a web developer and a systems engineer. I have two daughters, one s 21 and lives in NJ and the other is 17 and still lives at home.
I have been on Myspace for what seems like forever. I was the first person to ever have a flash overlay profile. I was once a moderator for Myspace, but what BS that was, far to much work for me to do with no recognition, or support from Myspace itself. I am no longer going to have a custom overlay or flash profile layout on Myspace. I am sick and tired of the code disappearing. It just makes you a target. I have better things to do with my life than to update this profile every week. So what you see is what you get. Maybe sometimes I will change the layout, if I come across one I like.
I am into politics, why? Because I can! Plus I just dont like the direction I see our country moving in, and its hard to sit on the sideline and complain. I do not belong to any paticular political party. I am a registered Republican but live my life more as a conservative. Well about most things. I want to see marijuana legalized. For medical purposes and also for pleasure, like alcohol. But first we must find a way to test for "current use". I dont believe in drinking and driving or smoking and driving so we must be able to test for current use. I am retired, my children are grown, my bills are paid, my husband is supportive, I am hurting no one with my decision. I am without a doubt a responsible smoker. Obama is going to screw this country, you wait and see! We are FUCKED! =/
