Shadwell is a five-piece, melodic modern rock band based out of
Boston. The group combines soaring lead vocals, tasteful guitars,
textured keys, rich harmonies and rhythmically compelling bass and
drums to create its all original music.
In late 2006, with help from producer Tom Polce (CBS Records) Shadwell released its five-song, self titled EP. Since then, the band
has been playing throughout the northeast including frequent stops at
Boston area venues The Middle East, The Paradise Rock Club, T.T the
Bears, and The Lizard Lounge, as well as New York’s Arlene’s Grocery and
Pianos. Shadwell has received airplay on several major market stations in Boston including WBCN 104.1FM and WXRV 92.5FM. In May of 2008,
the band was selected by Boston’s KISS 108 to play alongside national
acts for its annual Kiss Concert at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA
and was also chosen to play the main stage at the 40th Walk for Hunger
on the Boston Common.
Shadwell has been receiving comparisons spanning from contemporary Brit-rock heavies to straight ahead American rock and continues to play venues in New England while writing newmaterial in preparation for
recording its first full length album with producer/engineer Ducky Carlisle.
