About SHAD

Shād is destined for superstardom and clearly won’t be falling short of admirers with his sexy cool style and unique talent; but the truth is that his heart belongs to one special lady, there’s but one problem... he’s yet to find her. “I believe in making your fantasies a reality and that’s what ‘The Search’ is about. This album is dedicated to the love of my life; I know she’s out there somewhere.” Shād, 24, began entertaining as a child and by sixteen he found his calling and started performing songs that he had written. It wasn't long before he honed his skills as a limitless singer-songwriter. In 2008, he teamed up with producer Harmony aka H-Money of Blackout Entertainment and together they wrote and recorded Shād’s debut album ‘The Search’, fusing Shād’s African and Asian ancestry with the pop and urban mainstreams. “I have always wanted to make sense of my identity both culturally and artistically, I feel I have begun to explore this in ‘The Search’.” Shād’s electric voice is as toned and disciplined as his lithe body, with a falsetto that could melt our polar ice cap. His lyrics spin yarns of love, pain and sacrifice with the sensitivity of classic romances. ‘The Search’ speaks to anyone who’s longed for true love; with both upbeat dance tracks and melodic ballads that will warrant comparisons to the masters of soul. “I’m inspired by the greats and believe in cultural accountability; therefore I have a legacy to uphold. I sing because of them and have great ambitions... This is just the beginning.”
