Sounds Like
New music with old values. There's a 70's vibe running through most of the album. An exception is the Soundgarden influenced "I Want Independence." "Desperation" started out with a Pink Floyd sound, but evolved into something more like Queen. The outro to "You Got A Way" has the flanged harmony vocals that can be heard on Queen and ELO records. The title track sounds like a collaboration between Fleetwood Mac and Joe Jackson. Joe's influence can also be heard on the bridge to "Lost Myself." Working with 3 outstanding producers, Shady Cats recorded 11 songs for their debut album, Love Callin'. The producers, John Custer, Dick Hodgin, and John Plymale, cherry picked the songs they liked best and took them all to a demanding, professional level.
The band is comprised of Grady Crumpler and Bill Eagen, plus an assortment of talented guests, including Don Dixon (on "In The Moment"). There are a lot of classic rock and power pop influences on the CD, so while the songs are original, they have a welcome, familiar feel.
Grady is looking for publishing opportunities for the Shady Cats material.

I am currently playing with an original project that is looking to play some local shows with other original bands! We would be more than happy to do the foot work to get the shows if we can get some bands on the list! Maybe each band could play an hour or 45 min set!
Were looking to create a association for local bands to be used as a resource for (original bands) play shows, Record songs create Compilation CD's... Promote the local artist's! This project would require a band to have a DEMO! Or at least ONE song! If they do not have ONE and would like to be part of this, I would put up the recording time for ONE songs worth of studio time to get them into the fold! I'll put my MONEY were my mouth is!! to create something BIG! What do you think?
original bands/Singer Songwriters only!! If you are a singer songwriter and don't have a band! We can help you with tracks for studio time or a live set!! No RAP or Cover bands! Sorry!
