December 12 Live Set with MachineDrum and 303 at the Kava Lounge in San Diego.
This is the set I proposed to Katy Rokit at one of our little TekFunk parties at the Kava Lounge. towards the end, by plugging in robotic sounds into the MachineDrum to sound out the words "Katy Rokit, Will You Marry Me?"
Nothing like being with all of our TekFunk friends and fans when you propose to the coolest chick on Earth!

It all started in the Bay Area in the late 80's...hopping in a car, calling the Static Line, driving to the record store, grabbing the fluorescent yellow paper flyer with the directions, and then driving into Nietzsche Abyssss...with windows down and ears tuned for the beat. Back then, everything was 140bpm, full orn acid and other Roland goodness, with samples being played back by boom box cassette decks. It was magic. We didn't even call it raving yet..we just called it a 'warehouse party'...because that's what they were...a bunch of kids bringing a positive attitude showing up to do ONE thing: Dance.
We'd dance from midnight till the sun came up. And then we'd turn the PA up even louder so that everybody driving away could hear the beats. So that the people breaking down and cleaning up could still dance if they wanted to. The music was always the first thing to get set up. And the last to get unplugged.
From there, I found myself at an Aphex Twin / Moby concert in Chicago in 1990, and I've never quite gotten the sound of a low pass filter sweeping down out of my head. I love synthesizers, and I'm hopelessly in love with electronica.
I'm also a hacker. A certified ethical one at that... and for my day job, well, let's just say I get to do really fun things and i get paid for it. Think getting paid to break systems and fix them again. Just like I do with synthesizers, cars, and well, myself even.
I study martial arts, play soccer, dance like a wild man, and love anything Italian. I am a hopeless romantic, and nothing does it to me like the blues. Miles, or Buddy Guy. I blow the horn, too, but I find it hard to do anything with it with electronica that wasn't already accomplished and discoverd on Doo Bop. So I'm happy just putting the needle on that groove when I play.
In the end, life is a short dance in the sun. And if you're really lucky, you've already been dancing all night long waiting for it to come up. Just watch a few of the Dirtybird party vids, or Brique Rogue's parties in France, or TekFunk's parties here in sleepy San Diego. If House is a feeling, then surely Techno is the central nervous system.
I make music because that's what I know God wants me to do. It's the ONLY thing I know he wants me to do. Everything else is just to support that mission. Even my 'challenging day job' is there so that by the time i get home, i'm ready to wade in a sea of audio and midi cables again. There is no sexier place on earth than the studio. When I'm there, I'm alive...breathing again...puns fly out of my mouth, I whisper sexy things in my GF's ear, and the bass rattles the flourescent lights above. I know those cause noise in my signal chains... but lest I never forget... this is Techno, after all.

Productos BMM presents:
BMM 33 Tantrum Light LSD Island EP with the remixes of Paul Hunter, Da Trash & Zimaleto Genre: Minimal, Techno, Tech-House.
Some comments: Carsten Rausch: The Da Trash Remix is a cool piece of percussive Techno. I will definetely play that. Dave James: Yeh I like the original trippy vocals. Galuszka: Tantrum Light offers a track that is straight up techno. The mood of the original mix is very Terminator 2 (Judgment Day) in its vocal work and sound choice. The remixes of this project ad funk, especially the Da Trash remix with it's rolling quality. Bodgan Taran: I just love the melody on Zimaleto remix of LSD Island. The Reddman: I listened all the remixes and was very impressed! I have to say I just loved the Paul Hunter remix of the LSD Island track. There was something about it that just kept the groove going for me. Moog Conspiracy (Elektrotribe / Buena Onda): I ll play Tantrum light - Da Trash remix. Marc Fuccio (Fresh DJS): Favoutite mix is Paul Hunter remix. Wicked groove of a bass line that instantly got me to my feet. Great production and construction. Graeme Park: I really like the Zimaleto Remix of Tantrum Light's LSD Island. Such a great groove. <a href="//www
