Influences
The music of illustrious guitarists ( Mick Green , Wilko Johnson , Jimmy Page , etc.), brillant groups and, of course, the immortals (from Pretty Things to Dr. Feelgood and continuing with some of the most obscure Rhythm and Blues). Youll get a cultivated group capable of playing a repertoire of standard and time-honored c covers coupled with forgotten gems, plus various tunes suited for your occassion.
The Shaggy Dogs have completed the mix of their 3rd album at Pery Vale Studios, London with Pat Collier (Vibrators, Inmates, Primal Scream, UK Subs).
« no covers » - is the new opus code name – breaks out of old doggy habits as the record is composed of original material only.
The four shaggy dogs have been playing together for almost 8 years and their music which inherits from many influences results in a mix of Pub/Rock Garage/Punk and R’n’B/Soul. The impetuous fours are in direct connection with Dr Feelgood or even The Southern Culture on the Skids, but never looses their original style, a warranty for success with public and the critique.
Many gigs in clubs or venues in France, Belgium, Holland or switzerland and certainly very soon in England and in Japan where their hit "do the dog" is a part of a pub rock compilation on the label Sazanami.
