PAST EVENTS
LOOKING LEFT
Stripped down, streamlined, and succinct, this evening of low tech performance featured mid career and emerging artists composing in the short form. Also on the program were works by casebolt and smith (Los Angeles), Philippa Kaye (New York), Ana Flecha (Santa Cruz), Amy Hicks (San Francisco), Cid Pearlman (Santa Cruz).
We presented "Beside Alone," a duet exploring felt isolation in the context of physical proximity, and the possibility of intimacy as remedy.
Co-producers David King and Cid Pearlman hope that “Looking Left” will become an annual event, expanding to two weekends in 2009.
