About me: I am Tahmineh, Rostam's Lover and mother of Sohrab.
This myspace page is dedicated to all Comic Book and Graphic Novel fans out there in cyberspace. It is also dedicated to mythology, history, adventure and just simply great art fans.
These ancient tales have been painstakingly brought to life by the dynamic team at Hyperwerks http://www.hyperwerks.com.
With lead illustrator Karl Altstaetter, Writers Bob Napton and Bruce Bahmani, and a litany of other contributors, Rostam - Tales from the Shahnameh gives the fans a unique glimse into a rich Mythological tradition virtually unknown in the West.
Persian speaking people who love their culture, are proud of it, and crave to learn more about its' elaborate history will find these books especially interesting as they bring to life the stories from one of Iran's most famous books - The Shahnameh or the Book of Kings - written by Ferdowsi over 1000 years ago.
It is my hope to open up a space where fans of the books can post their comments and talk about what they think of these comic books. You can find the books on Amazon.com or directly from the publishers at The shahnameh
Want to see the illustrations of the books in their entirety? For Book 1, click here
And for book 2, click here
And for book 3, click here
Who I'd like to meet: Artists, Comic Book readers, Graphic Novel enthusiasts, Manga, Shahnameh / Ferdowsi Fans, Persians, Afghanis, Tajiks, Dari, and those who appreciate classic world literature and really cool drawings.
