The Shakedown, introduced to the Harrisburg music scene in the Fall of 2006, is a cohesive combination of multiple, drastically varying influences. Deftly blending raucous screaming, heavily distorted guitars, and frantic drumming with gentle piano and soaring, melodic vocals and instrumentals, The Shakedown refuses to be classified or confined into any one genre.
The ideals and inventiveness of its members shine through their music, and their love for what they do can be vividly experienced during their raw, energetic live show. Driven by their love for God and their passion for creating music, The Shakedown is poised to make their presence known in the Central PA music scene.
After investing so much of our time and energy in this musical endeavor, it is very easy for us to hope for success, fame, money, etc. But we try our best to keep our mind off of all that stuff. We do this whole "band" thing because our lives have all been touched by Jesus Christ, and we want to try and share what we have learned and the love we have found with others. Success, for us, will be if at least one person discovers through our message that there is an unconditional love in this world, a chance to mend all pain and suffering. No matter who you are or what you believe in, know that God loves you with all of His being, and with His love you can overcome anything that life places in your way.
