The Shakedown is the ugly ginger lovechild of DJs JOHNTY DEL MONTE and THE COLONEL, playing the rawest, fattest, funkiest beats from across the board, in a true party style. So far it has caused some ace underground parties around Sheffield, and now takes to the airwaves every Thursday night to bust this flex on Sheffield Live. The boys dig into their crates of original soul & funk, head-nodding hip-hop and b-boy breaks, spicing up the mix with their favourite eclectic beats and cuts be it rock, indie, soundtracks, or even a naff bit of orchestral jazz from a 70s sofa advert - if its got a fat breakbeat, its getting played! Yowsah...
