Band MembersMarty sings the songs, , Rich slaps the bass, Shane Hubbard bangs the hell out of his drums and now Wayne Elvin provides that 'powerful driving' guitar!
InfluencesThe usual Rockabilly/Psychobilly/Garage-Trash/Rock'n'Roll/Blues stuff. Add to that an unhealthy interest in '70s Punk + New Wave, Ska, Country, Skate-Punk, Brit Pop, Kylie and Girls Aloud! Watched over from above by the good lords Elvis and Joe Strummer...

   About Shakeout

Shakeout take a fresh slant on psychobilly music and that in itself must be a mission after 17 years! (S.Nott / Bedrock Bugle / May '97)

This band deserve to go far. Shakeout take rockabilly and kick it about with a host of different influences giving a refreshing new look at the genre. (Necro News / November '97)

Its a good thing Shakeout decided to play again. Obviously devoted to rock n roll. Who else can play a Green Day cover and make it decent to listen to? England is full of surprises. (Hellvis.tk / Jan 2006)

This band have some good ideas and their songwriting is very imaginative. And they are good musicians to boot. The guitarist is very impressive and has been described as "a Psychotic Brian Setzer on speed." Get along to see them as I have heard that they put on quite a live performance. Keep it up lads! (P.P. / Deathrow Database / June '93)

Shakeout are without doubt one of the UK's leading rocking outfits, and their approach to their music is definitely unique. (Scootering / June '95)

Their songs are good, their musicianship great and their sound is powerful and driving. (Deathrow Database / April '96)

Loaded with a great slapping bass, catchy melodies and some over the top songwriting. This is without doubt some of the better 90s Psychobilly stuff. (Old School Psychobilly / Feb. 2006)

LAST GANG IN TOWN proudly presents…

THE GRIT - They’re back! The UK’s best Punk Rock’n’Roll band storm back into Cambridge by popular demand. Now a 5 piece with a fatter sound and a cracking new CD release, The Grit will leave you begging for more. Their unique sound splices punk, ska, psychobilly, rockabilly and a whole lot of spirit. You’d be a fool to miss their live show, they’ve blasted audiences at all the major festivals at home and across Europe and this is your chance, so don’t miss it!

LEFT ALONE - Hellcat Records’ Los Angeles based street punk crew Left Alone will be playing their first Cambridge gig as part of this amazing double-header. Hard work, great songs and energetic live shows have seen this band move up to a Hellcat Records staple. Combining 3 chord punk with ska and a dash of country, Left Alone have developed a sound all of their own, with contributors and guests including Tim Armstrong (Rancid) and Patricia Day (Horrorpops).

DEBT COLLECTORS - Stevenage trio who mix street punk with ska and 2Tone.

May 17 2009 9:57 AM

Milloy - The best UK melodic punk rock band right now. From Wakefield, these guys burn with melodic ferocity. I last saw them supporting Samiam and The Draft and they blew me away. An absolutely amazing band.
http://www.myspace.com/milloy

Arch Stanton - Melodic rock with teeth. Foos, Samiam, Hot Water Music.

Plus one more TBC.

Sat 6th Jun @ Marquee, Norwich. Only £3.50. It’s a steal!!
