Billy Wobbledagger & His Two Noble Kinsmen have just recorded an album of their Shakespeare songs. An inspired blend of the sublime and the ridiculous, the record ranges from harmonytastic balladry to knockabout comedy and was recorded by Dan Lea at Golden Hum.
The original version of 'Let me the canakin clink' appeared on the Brockley Max Trax II compact disc showcasing Brockley musicians.
The Kinsmen appeared at the Blakespeare events, as well as the Hundred Handed's final show, the Cross Bones Graveyard, the Comedy in Leicester Square and many pavements, pub gardens and parks besides.
Are you a man?
Aye, and a bald one.
Is there an art to find the mind's construction in a face?
Yes. Yes there is.
Many thanks for the request. I hope you get the opportunity to read my best selling satirical book about Shakespeare for no other reason than it's really annoying the crap out of the purists everywhere. Result!
The next two Salt Margins at The Whitechapel Gallery are unmissable. Hope to see you there!

Melanie Challenger Eleanor Rees Chris McCabe Songdog
Salt poets Eleanor Rees (Andraste's Hair) and Melanie Challenger (Galatea) have both been nominated for this year's Forward Prize for Best First Collection.
Which is reason enough to come and hear them read. Like Eleanor, Chris McCabe is a Salt poet and a Liverpudlian. His collection The Hutton Inquiry is a
powerful examination of language under pressure. Musical refreshment is provided by the excellent Songdog, led by playwright Lyndon Morgan.
Aaaalso, our awful poetry competition where you can win original artworks and free beer (comment us with your entries), aaaaaand This Handsome Devil & That Perfect Fumble and The Mescalitas all plying their DJ trade till the wee hours.

Wild White Ocean
I recall it so clearly though it was but a dream
The heavens all colours of peaches and cream
And the children of mercy sang their prayers for a world
And their rags were all tatters and their hair it was curled
Well you were there when time was begun
And you’ll be there when time is done
You my rain, you my sun, you my precious one
And where the dance of the dead met the clear blue sky
And the moon-drunken river did silently sigh
And the once-fertile forests were lost to the dirt
And the voice of the rain-tree no longer was heard
Well you were there with blood on your hands
And the skies they were crying like the sound of string bands
You my rain, you my sun, you my precious one
We wept in our darkness for heat and for light
And the stars they crept slowly through the moon-sweet night
And dolphins did fly and spaceships did land
As the wild white ocean made the infinite sand
And you were there and smiling once more
Like a war-weary warrior cut loose from all war
You my rain, you my sun, you my precious one
