SHAKING JUDY Songs for Apollo (independent) Pierrefonds’s second-best-kept secret (the first being Bombay Choupati): a bar band for boys and girls, with muscular riffs and rhythm, quality vocals and melodies with heart and soul.
– Montreal Mirror, Vol. 22 No. 43
SHAKING JUDY is a Montreal-based band that has been steadily evolving over the past 4 years. Their sound stems from a variety of influences, from blues to rock to metal, and every show they play is brimming with energy and passion.
The band released its first EP in 2006, an eclectic collection of songs that display the band’s ability to write catchy radio-friendly rock, as well as more experimental pieces that satisfy more adventurous listeners.
The release of the album was followed by a VideoFact grant to shoot a video for the song “On the Run.” The video aired nationally on MuchMusic, and along with radio airplay on such Montreal radio stations as 99.9 The Buzz, Mix 96, Mohawk Radio, and KYX 98 (Alberta), helped solidify a devoted fan base.
The band is now working on their first full-length album, which is expected to be released in 2009. Fans should expect a heavier, more ambitious record, followed by a string of live shows in and around the Montreal area.
I know! that was the point in going; to meet ya'll, but what can I say I'm shy :P Anyway yeah, you could pass a CD on to Jesse, I live with one of the guys in Talk Sick so I see the boys quite often haha Thanks in advance :)
Hey Rob, thanks for the kind words. To answer your question, the Graham Leduc you are talking is most definately the same person who plays drums in this band. =)

We should try and hook up a show with the Noble Rogues in November. Our October show fell through because apparently Ray at 3 Minots double booked. We've tried getting a show in October but only the 25th is available, and it's at Playhouse, so a Sunday night way down on Parc street probably isn't a good idea. Can you guys help us out by trying to book something?
Hey its ben. thanks for the comment! you're new tunes sound great! i remember them from your clydes show where i saw you last. whats a postal service? lol
Actually we noticed that we had some similarities in style with Postal Service but when writing these we didn't get the style from them...just came together that way.
Maybe we should both look into opening for the postal service :P
