    Shakinouts are obsessed with melody and the quest for perfect pop songs. They hang around the city of Leeds and spend all there time in each others pockets discussing music and life. They have recently recorded with Simon Humphrey's (The Clash, Culture Club) and have had their tracks mastered by Barry Grint from Alchemy who has worked with the likes of Oasis, Pulp, Paul McCartney and Guns n Roses. They are all set to support The Hoosiers next month and have released a new single "Quiet Life" available now on iTunes and Amazon. Shakinouts are a 5 piece dirty pop band from Leeds who formed out of the stormy death of another two bands in 2009. Basically we took the best looking members and continued under the name of one of the bands and wrote a load of new songs and out we came! We take inspiration from the great bands and artists of the past and enjoy chasing amazing melodies and creating brilliant pop songs. We take what we do very seriously but don't feel the need to wear the moody faces that the modern bands seem to think are required for every photo. We love what we do and know that our songs are quite simply unmatched by any modern band. We're chasing the greats and have no time to compete with the dullness of modern guitar music or the currently charts. Loads of people have said nice things about us - The Kaiser Chiefs, The Charlatans, Barry Grint (masterer of Oasis, Blur, Pulp, McFly... said we're the best new band he's heard in ages!) Dave Simpson at the Guardian and Edwyn Collins. The band consists of Matthew Wilson On guitar and vocals, Jamie Williamson on vocals and guitar, Sam Potter on keys and vocals, Daimo Moore on bass and vocals and Alex Brook on drums. After recieving praise from people such as the Kaiser Cheifs, Tim Burgess and the Pigeon Detectives Shakinouts released their single Are You Happy!? on the 7th of September 2009. Shakinouts in December 2009 supported Shed Seven at Leeds Academy to over 2000 people. The band now have a very fast growing reputation for thier live preformances and are building a strong Yorkshire fanbase. The band formed in the middle of 2007. They have played 100's of gigs all around England. On the 26th of July they opened PARTY IN THE PARK with artist such as Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris, N-Dubz and JLS. After recieving praise from people such as the Kaiser Cheifs, Tim Burgess and the Pigeon Detectives Shakinouts released their single Are You Happy!? on the 7th of September 2009.
