The idea for Shakodi sparked in May of 2007. 4 out of 5 members of Fall Not Forgotten decided to continue writing music with one another. On a trip home to Grants Pass, Oregon (The bands original hometown before relocating to Clarksville, Tennessee.) to visit family, Mark asked long time friend Corey Anscott if he would move to TN. to be the 2nd guitar player. Needless to say they both boarded a plane the next day. Corey and David had played in a band together before so the chemistry was already there. The band used the rest of 2007 and the first half of 2008 writing what would become there first full length album entitled " Crazy In-Tents". The CD was released in October of 2008. The album was not put out by a label but rather five individuals who will stop at nothing to get their music out there. "We are going to do this whether we are signed or not. Its not that we wouldn't sign to a label or couldn't have already, its that we are making it happen on our own. When the right opportunity presents itself I'm sure we will embrace it." -Mark of Shakodi.
The band is well know for the intense live shows they put on. They have toured a good part of the U.S. and have shared the stage with countless national acts. Shakodi is constantly writing new music and seeing how far they can push themselves and each other.
