Shallow Eyes was born in 2005 from the results of Gabriel and Marc's efforts since 2001 when they met at school. They wrote and recorded a lot of material before they finally decided what Shallow Eyes was going to sound like. In early 2005, Gabriel and Marc recorded their first demo called ''Can't stay outside''. In the summer of 2005, Ugo Bossé joined the band and became Shallow Eyes's first drummer. In October of the same year, they did their first gig after only two months that Ugo joined the band and they sounded pretty good. 2006 was a very productive year. They played almost every once a month and they also recorded their second demo called ''Why stay home ?''. In december of the same year, Ugo left the band. Since the band wasn't complete anymore, Gabriel and Marc spent the winter of 2007 recording new material. In April, the guys had a phone call from P.O. who was interested in the add ''Drummer Needed'' put by Shallow Eyes and after the audition, he joined the band. They had two gigs in a row in May and June of the same year. The band started to take a new musical direction going more into progresive hard rock and leaving the mellow stuff behind. The song ''Down in the hole'' which is the first song written by the three of them describes a lot which direction they are going to. Here they are in 2008 more ready than ever to rock this planet!!!
