Ivan Silva [Sha-Ma-Na-V] (date of birth: December 5, 1982) is an independent artist, collaborator, DJ, producer, remixer, sound engineer, & psychonaut from Chicago whose experiments with sound began at an early age. He grew up to embrace all forms of abstract art & was exposed to all kinds of music as a child. Starting with an electronic drum kit at age 6, he quickly grew an intense passion for electronic music. At age 11, he picked up his dad's Saxophone for a couple of years but ended up getting discouraged by his music teacher at the time. Then at the age of 13, he first heard the music of Download & Shpongle - 2 bands that would have an immense impact on his soul. By the age of 15, he had established himself as a DJ - spinning at several parties, venues, & night clubs throughout the Chicago-land area. Now he strives for diversity & creates music that reflects this world inside/out, physically & spiritually. His knowledge of electronic music composition & technique is self-taught. Xochipillinavi Studios (founded in September of 2001) is where he summons the sounds of Shamanavi.

hey dude I just checked the Mars Volta tickets and they are 42.50 after taxes and such but I don't think you can get them through ticketmaster. We should totally get on them if you want to go because they always sell out their shows when they come. I picked up the cd at Target it was only 10 bucks.
