'Infiltrate Mutilate Carnage Instigate'
In the wrath of the 2000 Warmageddon... Forgotten so called 'Unholy Triangle' bullshit, remaining bands hailing from Matu, Sarawak, Malaysia were ceased to survive. Shamanic Rites were among the bands that brought up the Art of Metal Kelam Flagship. As typically said 'only the strong survive!!!'. The teeth mark of time brought together Abzhan, Amen'amo Lucifer, Larqam and Ahrieymanz to formed a band under the name of 'Mahsyarz'. It never too long before they changed the band name to 'Shamanic Rites' which a cliché towards the visceral surrealism of eastern local orthodox belief.
'From the Darkest Depths' demo June 2000 emphasized the starting point, where the band recorded it live in an old school way of producing demo. Three tracks were recorded and was in a very small scale distributions.
In the late December 2000 they recorded two more tracks entitled '7th Mysterious Head' and 'Bisikan Kematian'. The result was, 'Rites' demo were produced with a solid churned of sounds, windblown chaos percussion and detour through melodic chords of a simple nature in a basic song compositions. This demo was can say more extreme metal music presented compared to the previous demo, which was subliminal dark and melodic ambient. Still, the number of copies were distributed in a very small scale.
Shamanic Rites suffered a lost when Larqam renounced from the band and left Abzhan (Guitar), Amen'amo Lucifer (Vocal + Bass) and Ahrieymanz (Drum) to proceed with the band. Declaring it a loss, the remaining members recruit a new member, Yoyz (guitar) yet soon integrates with the band extreme dark metal musical format.
The slow progression took 2 years of hiatus for the band before they back to local extreme metal music landscape. Longing for new idea and creativity they recorded a track entitled 'Iblyssyaithannirajim' which then published by Physic Screams Production as part of 'Panggilan Pulau Puaka Vol. 5 part 1 compilation CD'. That song was critically acclaimed by listener as Shamanic Rites rise from the ashes.
'Iblyssyaithannirajim' offered listener a journey towards cadaverous sound of melodic yet aggression blend with dark desolate sound of metal.
Shamanic Rites now hybrid with Abzhan complementary rythmic subdivision and raging harmonization. Amen'amo Lucifer bass esoteric self-convulsive melody and integrates with Ahrieymanz blasting mayhem forming the violent atmospheric music texture.
They may sound hazy somewhere which adds more sublime melodic sense as Amen'amo Lucifer vocal derived a pattern of relentless verbal assault which brought forth in beautiful dark nihilism.
Now they are back with the most brutal extreme metal music of Borneo own flavor, hailing from the 'Unholy Triangle'. This is the most evil for you entitled 'Infiltrate Mutilate Carnage Instigate'. Behold...
