I'm eclectic, so I listen to everything. Dixie Chicks, Shania, Celine, Barbra Streisand, Sting, Cold Play, Alanis, Kim Burrell, The Clark Sisters, Jill Scott, Whitney, Babyface, etc. When I'm writing, it's pretty much love and life that inspire me. I like to relate to everyday people, so when I'm writing I speak straight from the heart. I hope to inspire at least one person!

The release of Monica’s gold certified album “After The Storm” in which Shamora wrote three songs “Hurts The Most”, “Breaks My Heart”, and “I Wrote This Song”, marked an exciting new chapter in Shamora’s career. The songs in which some reviews were noted as “outstanding” and “beautiful” propelled Shamora to the top of many artist’s and songwriter’s lists. Soul Veteran Angie Stone’s new release, The Art of Love and War, contains three Shamora co-written songs. “These Are The Reasons”, the only song on the record not co-written by Ms. Stone, and the standouts “Take Everything In” and “Sometimes”, with the latter reaching number 7 on Billboard’s Urban AC charts, highlighting yet another reign of accomplishments for this unrivaled talent. Factor in KeKe Wyatt’s new album, Ghetto Rose, with the Shamora penned single, “I’m A Hustler” f/ Raheem Devaughn, and Bad Boy’s Cheri Dennis’, In and Out of Love, with the hit “Ooh Ooh”, and it’s evident that Shamora is truly phenomenal.
