Come out for a night of music in memory of BOB NUGENT ~A true friend, musician, Shamrock Regular, and Working Class Hero (1953-2009). Uncle Moldy’s House of Socks band is hosting a showcase of performers including Meg Bowen, Shane Burke, Misty Letts, Joel Griffith, Dan Houtz and Dan Mackey! Hope to see you there to share some music in the spirit of a true friend.

Dear Friends of Regular Bob Nugent:

On Monday February 23rd, at 10:30am, our dear friend Bob Nugent passed away, surrounded by family and loved ones at Stella Maris in Timonium, MD.
Bob was a regular at the Wednesday Night Open Mic Nights and also performed monthly showcases at Shamrock with his friend Larry Eaton. He also participated in many benefits and events with the Baltimore Arts and Music Project. Uncle Moldy's House of Socks posted a picture memorial of Bob on their site. This should be a direct link to their News Section: http://www. unclemoldyshouseofsocks. com/news. html .I also shared music videos & pics of Bob's friends at Shamrock Coffee and Tea in Bel Air, where Bob enjoyed their original "Black Raven" brew and Zeke's Coffee Selections. When Bob watched his friends playing the familiar songs he'd come to love, I was holding his left hand and felt his fingers making guitar chord motions. His musical spirit lived on despite his ailing body.

Bob's life, care and compassion for others lives on in his family and friends. Bob is an inspiration and reminded me once again to live life everyday to the fullest. Like one of his favorite Beatles, John Lennon, Bob imagined a world where all the people lived in peace. I hope Bob's dream is realized in our lifetime.

Bob's Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. at Stella Maris in the Chapel on the first floor of building Bob was in. I posted directions on my blog if people need more info. Stella Maris #: 410-252-4500, for directions ex:(5-7589) or press "0" for the operator.

Directions

Stella Maris is located at 2300 Dulaney Valley Road in Timonium, Maryland. Situated above the Loch Raven Reservoir watershed, Stella Maris is surrounded by the natural beauty of Dulaney Valley. With 180 acres, there are walking paths, gardens, a pond with a picnic area, and many locations for resting and enjoying nature.

By Car
From the Baltimore Beltway, take exit 27 north, Dulaney Valley Road. Follow Dulaney Valley Road north for approximately 2 1/2 miles. Past the light at Timonium Road on the left is the entrance to Stella Maris. Once on the campus, follow the directional signs to the main entrance.

By Bus
The MTA provides bus transportation to and from Stella Maris five times daily. Buses arrive at Stella Maris at 7:00 am, 10:00 am, 3:00 p.m., 7:00 am and 11:00 p.m. The buses for Stella Maris originate on the #8 line and are marked "Stella Maris. Call the MTA to determine bus schedule for your specific stop.




**Remember that VISITING HOURS ARE 24HRS A DAY/ 7DAYS A WEEK. And you can also call the hospice and his room 24/7 too. Please stop by when you can. People make his day and he has been such a good pal to all of us.
