Books
Tropical Fish Hobbyist (I know it's a magazine but it is still good) The Lord of the Rings, Zombie survival guide, and anything to do with gardening, landscape or decorating. I have been looking into some of the dog magazines lately to find some information on agility training. I registered my dingo in the UKC and it would be nice if he could play in their agility trials. He is such a smart dog, I know he can do it!

Hi my name is Vicki. I am happily married to the most wonderfull man in the world. We have two kids, four fur kids, two beak heads, tanks of fish and other assorted critters. I am a nurse with one of the best retirement communities in the nation and my husband is a landscape forman with the best garden center in the area. Our son is 20 and in the Navy. Our daughter is 13 and still in middle school. Like I said before, I am a nurse and work the graveyard shift. It was a little hard at first, but once I got used to it, love it.
My family is the most important thing in the world to me. When I am not working outside of the home I spend as much time with them as I can. We always have something to do on the weekends I am off and even the ones I work, do a little something when I am not sleeping. Believe it or not I love to go to all the thrift stores, antique malls and flea markets. If you look close enough you can find some pretty neat stuff there. We used to do a lot more traveling together but now that we have four dogs, we can't leave them home alone for a weekend. Hubby still does a few civil war reenactments a year and that seems to be enough for him. We also belong to a local SCA group and day trip when I am off for the weekend. But I think I will find something I like to do, by myself, and just go for it. But we will see.
The one hobby I love the best is my fish. I have been keeping fish for close to 30 years now and I never tire of taking care of them. If my husband would let me I would have my own fish room. But I make due with four tanks which hold everything from tropical freshwater fish to marine ones. The main reason I took up scuba diving was to be able to swim with them. There is nothing better than swimming, weightless through the water. Once our pond is built I plan on stocking it with native fish, especially my beloved blue gills. One other thing I have to mention is my puppies. One of them in particular is very special to me. That is Buck. He is my little love and I would like to train him to compete in the UKC's agility trials. He just turned one and is still quite a puppy but as he matures some he should be great. I have never known a smarter dog and I just know he would love it.
When my husbands brother came to visit from the west coast we took him to a hockey game. We had never been to one before and after that one game, fell in love with it. I go to as many games as I can now. I love the Admirals and Canucks but support my husbands favorite NHL team the Penguins. We have never been much for any kind of sports besides the kids soccer teams and a few local baseball games but I guess after all these years it was time.
I believe in the 9-12 program. These are the principles and values I live my life by.
9 Principles
1. America Is Good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
“The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the external rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
“I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
“It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is know. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
“I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
“Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
“It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
“In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
“I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson
12 Values
1. Honesty
2. Reverence
3. Hope
4. Thrift
5. Humility
6. Charity
7. Sincerity
8. Moderation
9. Hard Work
10. Courage
11. Personal Responsibility
12. Gratitude

Hey Vicki, Ed hurt his knee playing soccer. He had a MRI and goes tomorrow for the results! They already said that he has a chipped bone from the xray and did an MRI to see what else is going on. Possible ACL tear, he is not happy about that~surgery!!!!!!!!!!
