Dear John,
This is a very hard letter for me to write, knowing as I do how much you needed me to be there for you in November. Its been a difficult courtship as you know, since I was on the fence between you and Obama, liking your Maveric style ( God that was great!), but still appreciating the freshness that Obama represented. Both of you deserve the best and both of you would make a wonderful president.....but dearest John there are other things I have to take into consideration. Both of you had the duty to pick a running mate, the person that will stand one heart beat away from the greatest office in the land, the one who must be ready at the drop of a hat to take the reins of state and steer us to safety and prosperity. Obama made his choice first...a lukewarm choice at best, but still a pretty good one. Biden has a long record in the senate and is well versed in the intricate manner in which things are accomplished in Washington, has many good friends on both sides of the aisle and has shown his willingness to work in a bipartisan manner. Obama and Biden make a very tempting choice John, so it was with great anticipation that I awaited your choice.........Palin. A woman whos total political experience is a few years as a small town mayor, and then governor of our least populated state. A woman who believes with every fiber of her being that the world is only around 6000 years old and that invisible evil spirits surround us. A woman who showed a severe streak of Fascism by trying to ban books she disagrees with. A woman, who if she was informed that her daughter would die during childbirth and that an abortion was the only way to save her would smile and ask her daughter what color lining she wants for her casket. A woman who would force raped woman and little girls to carry the offspring of their attacker in their wombs. A woman who would sentence people to die slow lingering painful deaths rather than allowing them to end their own suffering by doctor assisted suicide, but at the same time believes that the deaths in Iraq are no problem because they are occuring to fulfill the plans of a magic invisible man in the sky.
John.....Oh, John....She supports hunting WOLVES from HELICOPTERS! Thats not hunting John....thats pure blood lust, killing for the joy of killing. As the glaciers of her state melt into puddles at her feet she proclaims that global warming is an inexact idea......she wants polar bears off the endangered species list so she can allow her oil husbands oil friends to exploit the last of the wilderness without so much red tape and regulation.
I am so sorry John....I hoped we could have a wonderful 4 years together, and had things gone well it could have even been 8!! But now John.......Not now.
