Shane Avery. Me. No need for this to be all blown up . Written as if I'm the only person on the planet to have taken this journey. This collection of songs, recorded at Cupit; 11 tracks, 8 originals, in 2007 with Ron Treat at the board. I chose to include covers; "Everything" by Alanis Morissette, "Your Love" written by John Spinks of The Outfield, and "Daddy What If" written by Shel Silverstein (an ole Bobby Bare tune). As a perk for reading this far...this cd has 12 tracks. 40 seconds after "Angelina Get The Door", written by my favorite "Ya'llternative" writer Scott Butterbaugh, is a scratchy old version of a somewhat novel tune from the first 10 songs recorded at Cupit Studios in 1999, "Reel Redneck"...(breathe). This "rock" version of Reel Redneck was recorded years earlier (1996) analog. A "radio ready" version of Reel Redneck is still spinning in jukeboxes on a compilation cd (Hot Hits Country vol.110) with Artists ;George Jones, Reba, Kenny Chesney, Dwight and Buck Owens! to name a few/ ...usually found in smokey ole bars,Texas Roadhouse ect. It's nice to drive into town and hear it on the juke at Georges Bar. "Rowe International" AMI inc Contgrats AMI! ONE MILLION JUKEBOXES!. I can die in peace now!
These days? oh, I'm writing more than ever, and while I'm proud of my ole buds Lewis and Scott for holding it down on Broadway there in Nashville (the Stage and Tootsies)...content I will be, with intentions of being a part of radio as a writer.
