I aspire to become an ambassador of positive and energetic dancehall music worldwide. My name is Roshain McDonald known as Shane-o. I was born in 1987, I live at 8 Donmair Close, Kingston 19. I attended Swallowfield Primary and Junior High then passed my exam for Kingston Technical High School. My hobbies include playing basketball, writing lyrics and chilling with my friends and family. I’ve always seen myself as an entertainer from as far as I can remember. Entertaining my community was fun for me as a child growing up. I have been inspired by all the great Reggae artists, musicians and people with whom I interact with. Just to name a few, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Snow Cone, and Spragga Benz and Sean Paul.
My musical career started at 12 years old when I had my first single released called “School is important” on the rice and peas rhythm. Within few years I got my big break on the applause rhyme with the song Thunder roll, also known as lighting flash on the Jah Snow Cone label. This single gave me the opportunity to perform at a lot of shows such as Sumfest, Sting, and Bling Dawg Summer Jam as well as plenty of barbeques and school feats. It opened the door which development my status as an entertainer with a number one song. Presently I have several new single released “Crab inna barrel, Ghetto prayer, My name, Girls territory featuring Sean Paul, Wigglin jigglin , Broken mirror, and Table turn again” which are gaining similar momentum. I am now being managed by Ice Man Promotion and Solid Agency which is also, now responsible for bookings at this moment.
