"25 on KZAM's Top 25 Best Albums of 2009"
- KZAM.net (San Jose radio station)
"Tutmarc is as confident a songwriter as he is a charismatic singer." - The Stranger
"[Shane's] eccentric style came through in both his style of clothing and his genre-bending song writing. Traces of folk, blues, and country all came through on his guitar and through his expressive voice." - Melophobe (Portland Blog)
"The Seattle singer-songwriter’s latest album (and the first recorded under just his own name) is not only his most musically well-rounded record, it’s also his best. Accompanied by Seattle mainstays Johnny Sangster (who also produced the album) and brother Jim Sangster along with Mark Pickerel and Ty Bailie, Tutmarc combines elements of garage-rock, folk, blues, country, gospel and pop into emotionally searing songs of spiritual disquiet and personal heartache." 5/6/2009 -Don Yates (KEXP Program Director)
"I think your music is beautiful. Eliot has that feeling and melody travelers look for. Stay inspired." - Cody ChesnuTT, an excerpt from a personal message (March 2 2009)
"...I've gotta say: solid, guys. Really solid. I can get behind the garage rockabilly aesthetic. Not to mention the blues guitar/churchorgan combo... Go listen to this record; if you ever claimed to like country music, you'll really enjoy it." - Sara Brickner, Seattle Weekly/REVERB (February 24 2009)
"Few things have been sounding as good to me as Shane Tutmarc’s yet-to-be released album, Shouting At A Silent Sky, has."

Thanks! We allso just got a little press from the Volcano down in T-town after doing a 3 (count'em 3!) set night down there. Fun to stretch it out a bit.
Just finished listening to the stream. Album sounds great and you've got some gems tucked away at the end as well. "Ocean of Dreams" sounds a little like Sweet Virginia or Loving Cup or something and Ty is ripping it! Backing vox in "Let me down easy" great as well. NIce work.
