Formed in Frederick, Maryland in early 2005, Shankmin has combined influence of the 1990's grunge era with the heavy riffing and hooks of post hardcore, punk and metal to form the sub-genre they affectionately like to call “Grungecore”. The band has just recorded their first EP with Dead End Studio producer Geoff Haynes. The five-song collection will be released in the spring of 2009. Shankmin has been playing shows in the Maryland area for some time and will soon be playing all around the tri-state area in support of their EP.

Alexandra Palace will bring an end to our first major UK Tour. The tour leads up to the official release of our first EP proper, 'Guerilla'. This will be available everywhere on November 2nd.
