She has a hip-hop album, Sanctuary, available, as well as a webstore for "Fuck Me Human" clothing, made on request of several people who heard her poem of the same name.
Her book FUCK ME HUMAN is now for sale at Lulu.com! It's more expensive online, because it's a prettier book with new poems and photographs. If you want the cheap one, you're just going to have to find her at a venue.
Her personal myspace page is listed further down. Her Livejournal name is shazzathegreat so if you LJ (and what poet doesn't) friend her, as she loves friends.
I noticed that a couple of folks mentioned they had purchased Fuck Me Human sweatshirts and books through Shannon's myspace account. Since we're still in the process of figuring out what accounts, etc. Shannon has and how all these things work, please hold off on ordering through the website for the time being or drop me an email and I'll contact you once we get it all worked out. We still have to figure things out from a legal standpoint and it may take a little time. I'd hate to have people order products and not receive them... If you've already ordered something and it does arrive, please let me know. I'm new to all of this and pretty overwhelmed at the moment.
Shannon, you have touched more people than you could ever imagine!
Turn to the night sky She appears in the stars Listen for the wind Let her whispers bathe you She comes to you through Yaweh And with each breath you speak She lives on triumphantly
Rest peacefully, love. You will be missed by even those who didn't know you well.
Tonight tongues tie in solidarity captivating the moments moments notice the silence creeping in the loins of their fear. Utterances refuse to slip past lips a declaration bitter defiance a stance against the wind that rushes through lungs. Escaping death not yet dying nor vying for freedom. breathe. Breathe for me. Push past the semblance of solace and the flirtatious flutter of an angel’s wing. They are not ready. We are not ready.
yes, for every word that left your lips for the world to hear...for every word you spoke to me...for every poem that left your intense eyes...my beloved warrior sister, thank you...i will miss you
A trip to Africa, 3rd at Nationals, traveling the world, 2 novels written, more poetry than I will probably ever write, you lived your life like you knew your time was short.
If only the rest of knew how to do that!
Love ya, sweetie! Thanks for what you gave us in such a short time.
