Shannon McMahon has been singing since she was a little girl, when she sang into her hairbrush along with Carly Simon records. When she was nine, she got her first guitar, and started writing her own songs at the age of ten. Inspired by the music of John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins and Bob Dylan, Shannon found her musical roots in contemporary folk. Some of My Years includes songs that are soul-baring testimonies to love, loss and living one day at a time.
Over the last few years, I was asked again and again to let people when my novel came out. I can’t remember who asked, so I guess I will just tell everyone. ( I hope you don’t mind ) Its an epic sci-Fi and even people who don’t normally like Sci-Fi really love it. There is a link in my top blog on my profile, or you can just search it on Amazon.

A big thank you for sharing our space Shannon. We enjoyed your last set in SL. We count on you to bring this nice mood on The Rainbow's Poet Club's stage soon :)
There are two videos with your music on youtube (River, and I get home from work...?), both posted by user "Pinigolo", with for footage a rather strange avatar who plays the guitar, from Second Life. I'm slightly confused - who's Shannon Oherlihy? In the notes I found the link to your myspace site. Glad I found you as I really like your sound. And the fact that you like Joan Baez is cool too! Thanks for your friendship. Wina, in the UK
