I am influenced by many genres--blues, country, rock, alternative, etc. I grew up on such greats as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt, Carly Simon, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and so many more!
My favorites today include Chevelle, Tim Mcgraw, Faith Hill, System of a Down, Trisha Yearwood--I think you get the picture. I like a lot of different types of music! I believe diversity is an important factor for any serious writer to have.
I am currently looking for a band. I've been writing for 20 years now and came out with my CD in Northern Lower Michigan in 1999. I write from the heart, using both personal experiences and life all around me for inspiration.
Why did it take me so long to start looking for a band? I had kids to raise, plain and simple. They have been my world, but they are grown enough now that I can pursue my dreams.

I've just sent you a Fantastic Basket for your Willy's Sweet Shop. Can you please send me one back? The more gifts we send the more money we can raise for St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Happy Memorial Day to you. Yes, I've got the weekend planned out too. In fact I won't be back in town until sometime Tuesday.
But I'm delighted to hear that you'd like to take a shot at collaboration. I don't know about my "fixing" any of your songs; I'd be happy to make suggestions but it would be entirely up to you whether or not you paid me any heed. Collaboration is more a process of two heads, with different perspectives, creating something that one head cannot. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I tried to send you a message through your profile but couldn't. So, in desperation, I went through the comment feature. If you feel comfortable sending me your email address please include it in a message through my profile. If not, we can continue this way.
I like your songs a lot. But, as I can see from reading your blog posts, you're well aware that this is a brutal business to break into, even with good songs.
Any interest in trying to collaborate? I'm more of a lyricist than a music writer although I do both. You can check out some of the songs I've worked on at my profile.
