Shan Qi is a project that started in Oslo during summer 2003. It's based on compositions by Giovanni Amighetti and Guo Yue and see collaborations from musicians coming from Italy, China and Norway as ..Guido Ponzini, Gjermund Silset, Helge A.Norbakken, Borge Petersen-Overleir, ..Wu Fei.

It means "Mountain Energy" as both Yue and Giovanni found some of their composing strenght came from mountain landscapes.

Worked mainly as live project (including sometimes guests), in 2006 it has been presented as musical production for the new video section of Arvmusic.org.

The recording of upcoming Shan Qi DVD started September 21st 2006, with musicians as: Guo Yue (bamboo flutes), Giovanni Amighetti (production and keyboards), Wu Fei (vocals and guzheng), Guido Ponzini (chapman stick and bass) and Helge Norbakken (percussion).

Film, shoot in different beautiful locations on Italian Alps, Friuli and Veneto, is directed by Giacomo Talamini and is produced in collaboration with Hive, Ladodicivideo and Caligola. Soung engineer: Bruno Cimenti.
