In Autumn 2003 six experienced musicians gathered their powers and formed band named Shanti Nilaya.
*(Shanti Nilaya means "safe home" in Indian language)*
Band is spreading repertory of its melodic, a little bit obscure rock from month to month. First recordings including two songs; "Vran" and "Gospodar sanj",
who are a part of released Promo 2004, meant for promotional use. Song "Gospodar sanj" (transl. "Master Of Dreams") was also released on compilation of Slovenian metal bands for On Parole Productions end of March 2005.
Band feels pretty comfortable on stage from the first performance on. Date of their debut album release is unstoppably coming closer.
Beside many club gigs all around Slovenia band had very well visited shows in Croatia, more exactly in Zagreb which recently as first Slovenian band in general performed on independent concert and amazed 500 big crowd in club Mochvara. After invitation of legendary Macedonian "darkers" Mizar were glad to warm up the crowd on Mizar's concerts in Croatia and Slovenia. Shanti Nilaya as well performed at Viva La Pola festival already the second year in the row and always got great response from visitors, though this is in general punk/rock festival
NEVER FORGOTTEN TEARS
Tears of unrealised dreams and lost love almost never dries out. How many times we ask ourselves why is this happening to us, even though the
answer lays buried and forgotten deep inside us.
Shanti Nilaya through the lyric opening the way and points at the door that are hiding these knowledgements. All you need to do is to unlock them.
All of us is hiding the pain inside, no matter how hard we try, it always finds the way to break out to the surface. Only exception greet it and host it with honours worth of a king. Usually we press it down inside of us, where it grows and continually stronger returning back into our life, like some sort of a raging beast without master. We have to take care of it and learn how to live with it, because it represents our only life companion in lonely nights. We need to know where it dwells, what feeds it and when it sleeps. Pain is our brother and executioner in one.
Shanti Nilaya's lyrics talks exactly about it, about feelings, questions, hopes, to cut a long story... it talks about old fear, father of pain - love and its necessary to love, necessary to feel how the words with the tip of the rusted dagger opens the door of self-knowledge.
Why?
So we can breath in the air and with courage of a long forgotten warrior marching into a new world, marching into life without fear with widely opened eyes full of knowledgements.
Sometimes it's necessary to accept and idolize also the darkest king to save the villages around the castle.
Shanti Nilaya are only announcers, who through the music speaks about his battles to save them from oblivion.

Shanti Nilaya's music is some sort of composition of atmospheric goth rock, metal and dark. The name itself presents the state between life and death, humans last safe and loving home.

pravkar sem prišel domov in iz firbca preveril posnetke. vmes se je nekdo hotel drgniti ob ksmero, zato je zvok mal praskajoč. drugu je to, ko je kamera zlezla dol...
ampak večinoma je zvok presenetljivo lep lep lep... slika pa.. hja, gain ni bil vklopljen, tako da je na momente mal temno.
Ja ja ja, kdaj delas :)? Bom se oglaso kaj, ko bom prisel do tega, samo mam zaj neko delo pa nisem lih s cajtom na pretek :). Priem pa ziher kaj pogledat ;). Drzi se, se vidjamo pa cujemo.
