
Shannon Barnett
Shannon Barnett (2007 Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year) is one of Australia’s most prominent trombonists, having performed with international artists such as Charlie Haden, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Eddie Floyd and Barney McAll, as well as local artists like The Black Arm Band, Vada, Andrea Keller and Paul Grabowsky. During the past twelve months she has ventured into new territory; performing around Australia with Circus Oz, both upright and upside down.
Her quartet features Christopher Hale (bass), Nashua Lee (guitar) and Ben Hendry (drums), all of whom contribute compositions to the ensemble’s varied and energetic repertoire.
