About me:
An artist by nature and a geek at heart Shane Firth is nearing his 26th birthday (November 5) and quietly dreading the possibility that he just might have to grow up, of course if he has his own way this will never happen and like Peter Pan is enjoying being the boy who will never grow up.
He finished college with a distinction in Art and Design, a merit in Fine Art and an AS Level in Photography. His tutors described him as energetic, opinionated and friendly, although one tutor later claimed he didn’t draw a lot, but what she really meant was that Shane just didn’t show her any of his drawing work, oh well.
He’s now a graduate of Hull School of Art and Design, a place he loathed with all his being and strongly recommends other students looking for a good Uni to go elsewhere like Poland possibly.
Shane is currently living in West Yorkshire with his folks in a small town called Featherstone a place he despises for it's lack of opportunity. When he isn’t searching for a job that will pay a joyful amount of money and will allow him a whole bundle of creative leeway he works for Jessops watches Anime, reads books (he loves Terry Pratchett, Dean Koontz, David Eddings and Robert Jordan) and of course draws, he’s hoping to relaunch his online gallery soon which will hopefully be loved by all, He also works sporadically on a comic called Hellsent which could potentially rival Hell boy for awesomeness or will just piss off major religions and he’ll get a cease and desist letter from the pope.
He welcomes any and all emails from anyone, especially from those who have nothing better to do than rant at unsuspecting artists, But he’ll warn you now, any and all hate rants will be publicly mocked, especially if they are badly spelled and are grammatically rubbish. Of course if you wish to write a polite letter containing constructive criticism he will happily accept it and will most likely write an equally polite reply thanking you or he’ll forget, but you’ll know he’s read it at least.
So ladies and gentlemen, this is the artist a tubby, furry, curly haired oddball, but ya gotta love him!
