I would like to just say I am a MUSIC FREAK. I like all kinds of music...Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Reggae, Reggaeton, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, some Rock. More than anything though, I am a HUGE Stevie Wonder fan because his lyrics are like poetry, and I'm a huge fan of India.Arie because she speaks from the heart and you can feel it in her music. I'm in love with old school music the most. Donny Hathaway, Earth, Wind, and Fire, George Benson...I also like old school Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Brandy is one of my favorite alto voices, and I love her style and harmonies...her sound is unique. HER NEW ALBUM IS THE SHIT AND I LOVE EVERY FREAKIN' TRACK!!!!!! As far as spanish music goes, Shakira and Ivy Queen are definately up there, as well as La India, Daddy Yankee, and Tego Calderon, and my favorite bachata band is definately Aventura. Mas Flow 2 is my favorite reggaeton album to date. Rock, I listen to Evanescence, Lenny Kravitz, Hinder, Buckcherry, Metallica, and a bunch of others I can't think about right now. I recently discovered I like Nirvana, and I also like Finger Eleven, Maroon 5, and Fall Out Boy. New school music, Beyonce is just amazing, but she's everywhere and I'm kinda getting tired of seeing her. I do listen to Keyshia Cole and Rihanna too. An underdiscovered talent is this girl Gia Farrell (seriously...she can sing her ass off...go on her Myspace page). Justin Timberlake's new album is a MUST HAVE...a anti-depressant for me. LOL As far as rap goes, I don't listen to it that much anymore, but I do like T.I., Lil Jon, Pitbull, Bubba Sparxxx, and the Ying Yang Twins, and I'm always takin' it back with Biggie and Tupac. I'm into Ludacris like crazy, and Busta Rhymes always keeps the 1's and 2's blazin' in my opinion. 50 Cent is aiight, but I liked him better when he was underground. In the R&B department, I got Alicia Keys in my stereo, along with Lina, Monica, Christina Aguilera, Jojo's new album, Danity Kane, and Jill Scott. I started liking country too. I like Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flats, Taylor Swift, Little Big Town, and ALAN JACKSON. Yeah...I'm cultured in music for the most part. HAHAHA.
Movies
I am definately a romance chick. I could sit here for hours watching romance flicks. I love comedy too. Scratch that...I REALLY love comedy. And I'm really into crude humor for some odd reason. And I can take scary movies. But if it gets too gorey, I might change my mind. I like everything from Star Wars to the Notebook, and I've watched a lot of movies, so just ask me about any one, and more than likely I've seen it.
Television
I've regained my love for American Idol after David Cook won this season (he's just freakin' amazing). Still a fan of Family Guy to the fullest, the Simpsons never get old, Will & Grace I heart...I watch a lot of cartoons like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and I LOVE the Boondocks. Robot Chicken is pretty hilarious too. Anything on Comedy Central is good for me. I like comedy the most. Reality TV is getting a little out of hand, but I'll watch it every now and then, when there's nothing on anyway.
Books
Waiting To Exhale; How Stella Got Her Groove Back; Mama all by Terry McMillan, The Color Purple by Alice Walker, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, any Chicken Soup books, books with poems by Emily Dickinson, The Green Mile, Montana, 1948, The Giver, Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, and of course, The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Heroes
Well this is one of them now...
AND MY CUZZO TRE IS ANOTHER ONE!
I have this thing were I can't decide who I really admire. I don't wanna toot my own horn, be conceited, and say I admire myself, but I do have a lot of people who have seriously had an impact on my life, most of the time for the worse, but there are those who made me a better person. Hell, even those who would come and go shaped me into who I am. So I can't say that I have a specific hero, but everyone in my life, the good and the bad ones, have inspired me to be the person who you see in front of you. And those people are my heroes.
Singers, producers, song writers, instrument players...anything of that calibur.
