Four weirdos whose parents were crazy enough to give them instruments. Immanenting enough musical experience to be mistaken for old farts. And the result? A sound so unique and self-containing that every stereotype, from NuMetal to Power Metal, has already been referred to. Well, Black Metal surely is something different. But to make no claim to be complete: it also contains a big pile of Thrash Metal as well. Let's just call it "Brain Metal" – brain required while listening.

Since 2008 Hannes Großmann refines the brain twister with his stunning drum play. Being the former drummer of the death metal flagship NECROPHAGIST and currently also drumming for OBSCURA, he is already well known to the metal scene.
His abilities can now also be heard on "The Freak-EP". The musical proof of the potential, the strong will for success and the musical unity of SHAPESHIFT in the year 2009.
